" Two kiwis, an Aussie and an Italian walk into a restaurant. Correct italian spelling on the menu at the door clued us up that we could be in for an authentic Italian meal!! Its an impressive looking dining room, with statues and Maps of Italy, without looking tacky. From the start the whole experience was excellent. The service swift and polite and our waiter, whose family owns the restaurant even spoke Italian. $4 corkage was surprisingly cheap! and when the first bottle was gone there were plenty of fantastic Italian Wines to choose from. The bread and olives were generous, the wild boar pasta huge and they even altered the menu to add pancetta to a salad for one of us that was not so hungry. We had no room for dessert but did sample the impressive range of digistifs on the menu. If I am ever back in Dunedin I would be back for sure and If I hear anyone is going to visit then I would tell them they should definitely go to Etrusco for a great and reasonably priced night out.   "

" my love for pasta has been rekindled thanks to etrusco. i will be going back again. i dont even care how many calories their dishes contain it is worth it!! the tiramasu i had as well was bit frozen bt becuase the restaurant was warm I relished in the coolness of it. i loved every bite of it. the house wine though cheap, was superb and fresh, not a hint of oxidation present! I would recommend this to everyone! my booking was at 530pm so i got my food fast because it wasnt full so not sure how they fast are when have packed restaurant. "

" We took some visiting friends and their young children out to dinner and Etrusco was great. The pizzas are interesting and tasty, and the wait staff were happy to explain which might be most suitable for the children. Even though the restaurant was very busy, the service was prompt and very friendly, without being obsequious. When we booked, we were warned that bookings were heavy, but our food arrived very promptly and was excellent. A great evening in a wonderful setting; definitely recommend as a family friendly restaurant with good value meals.   "
